Dance - The Mechanics of the Cosmos

Happy looking back ... I became a successful (contemporary and jazz ballet) dancer, starting 40 years ago, despite all odds (multiple adrenaline sports traumatic injuries and a clear "No!" from my family).

I found my way, opened me doors and got on top. My "How to" school for life!

Lyall Watson, a maverick scientific polymath and explorer, who I respect deeply, wrote: "Dancing is surely the most basic and relevant of all forms of expression. Nothing else can so effectively give outward form to an inner experience. Poetry and music exist in time. Painting and architecture are a part of space. But only the dance lives at once in both space and time. In it the creator and the thing created, the artist and the expression, are one. Each participates completely in the other. There could be no better metaphor for an understanding of the mechanics of the cosmos."

Dancers perceive the world with all senses, moving and doing all with a creative twist.

I think dancing is Nature writing poetry. All feels connected, even when we don't dance.

It is who we are and how we move in all roles of our lives.

Funky and flexible, we hear and see things differently, like looking through the colourful kaleidoscope.

The change is the only constant, like random music in space.
